Welcome to our living room! It is a work in progress, but coming together. The two main updates are the art wall and the recliner. I added the art wall today, mainly for the purpose of showing some of Sullivan’s masterpieces. Seriously! Don’t laugh! Also, I recently inherited a not-so-pretty recliner that is in need of some TLC. It was my grandmother’s, so I would love to find a way to incorporate it into our home and give it new life! So… the fabric search has begun for getting the recliner reupholstered. Before that though, I have a funny story about this chair. When we started getting this house ready to move into, the first thing I got rid of was the recliner. I could not believe how awful it was! So, my poor husband has been without a recliner for 3 years. Here is the kicker… this recliner I inherited was the EXACT same one I threw out – even the fabric! So, I guess second chances are sometimes serendipitous. I actually don’t hate the solid 60′s look of it now, but it really is just in need of new fabric in every way. I have considered painting the wood (white??) as well. Get excited about watching this recliner resurrect from the dead! So many choices… solid bright turquoise or green? Bold geometric? Geeze. I have a big (somewhat expensive) decision to make. More to come.
