GIVEAWAY!!!

Okay guys and gals.  Here are the rules.  Super easy!  Leave me a comment and answer the question “IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD TODAY, WHERE WOULD YOU BE?” Feel free to tell us where you are from (I know there are lots of states represented here and even some over seas readers!), and if you would like to be vague, then we will try to forgive you.  Hehe.  When commenting, you will be asked to enter your email address.  I will use this to contact the winner, but will also announce the winner on the blog.  Then, I’ll mail the prize!  Enter for a chance to win between now and Tuesday!  On to the fun part.

This prize is “GREEN” and AWESOME and GENDER NEUTRAL!  This past Christmas, I gave this to Kyle’s parents and my parents and they both raved about how many birds came to it!  It is from Design Within Reach, one of my favorite stores.

Audubon Soda Bottle Bird Feeder

Back in 1984, Norman Earl thought twice before tossing out his plastic jug. Instead, he invented the Soda Bottle Bird Feeder, a sturdy cast zinc adaptor that converts any plastic two-liter bottle into an economical feeder. Hung from a tree or mounted to a pole, the squirrel-proof Bird Feeder will keep chickadees, robins and other feathered friends satiated all year. Made in U.S.A.

If I could be anywhere in the world TODAY…. It’d totally be back on my honeymoon in Punta Cana! Do I really need to explain why??? The sun and the sand, and a coco loco in my hand… oh wait, no alcohol when you’re pregnant…. snap! (Amanda, Pride, LA)

Jennifer Cooper - August 27, 2010 - 7:18 am

Muir Woods…the most peaceful place I’ve ever experienced, and I could go for some peace right about now!

I’m in my office in BR and wish I was somewhere where it smells like fall! Maybe my Grandma’s in Maryland. It should be smelling like fall soon.

Sullivan's Daddy - August 27, 2010 - 7:47 am

I’d like to be right next to ASH. WOO HOO! Was that too much?

Erin - August 27, 2010 - 9:17 am

Since I’m on my 20-min lunch break in a public school building with no windows, I would be happy to just be at home right now! Seriously, my place isn’t super nice or even big, but it’s home… And I love being there because it’s so peaceful to me!

Or maybe I’d be in Seoul riding a subway and listening to my iPod on my way to see my students and then head to see my friends at Jubilee Church and have dinner at Food 2900 in Sinsa.

Christina Lucas - August 27, 2010 - 9:22 am

On the private beach at Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida! Let’s pack our bags and go! It’s ONLY a 14 hour drive from Memphis, TN! : )

Deanna West - August 27, 2010 - 11:21 am

If I could be anywhere in the world today…I can think of one hundred places I’d rather be any other day, but for today I’d choose to be in the Middle East…Iraq to be exact. This is where my beloved and dearly missed husband is deployed until Christmas.

Clair Colvin - August 27, 2010 - 1:18 pm

Where would I be if I could be anywhere…Today marks the one week anniversary of me moving from Baton Rouge, La to Louisville, Ky. As much as I LOVED Baton Rouge, I want to be right where I am, Louisville, Ky!! Exploring a new city, making new friends, job hunting, furniture shopping, and being with my wonderful husband!!!

Wanda Russell - August 27, 2010 - 2:55 pm

I’m actually there — at the “fam” vacation spot. The only thing that would be better is when some of the fam is here too!

Megan - August 27, 2010 - 3:22 pm

If I could be anywhere in the world RIGHT NOW, I would be somewhere quiet and cool, and I’d be reading a book.

Some options:
1. Cobh, Ireland
2. On the back porch of some cabin in New England
3. Oregon, overlooking the Pacific

Erin M - August 27, 2010 - 6:44 pm

I would be in Vals Switzerland or Glacier National Park in Montana. Those are two of my most favorite places on earth. So peaceful.

Brandon - August 28, 2010 - 1:36 pm

Anywhere Kyle is not.

admin - August 28, 2010 - 2:23 pm

Cack - August 30, 2010 - 8:14 am

Back to reality after a honeymoon? Um please send me back to Hawaii ha. Besides that – I’d take anywhere other than school or work.

Paige Seals - August 30, 2010 - 10:44 am

Right now, I wish I could hop on a private jet and see a New York broadway show and hop right back on the plane to come home just in time to tuck my kids into bed. I have always wanted to take a one day trip somewhere on a private plane. Just sounds fancy, spontaneous, and fun:)

Jenny - August 30, 2010 - 10:48 am

hmmm this is a tough one. but it’s always the beach for me!

Penny Martin - August 30, 2010 - 10:53 am

I am from Anacoco, Louisiana. If I could be anywhere I would choose London, Switzerland or Germany. You did not say we had once choice, lol.

Penny Martin - August 30, 2010 - 10:54 am

The first comment from me was suppose to read one choice. Sorry it says once choice.

Donna - August 30, 2010 - 11:45 am

I would want to be hanging out with you, Leslie and Vianne!

Laura - August 30, 2010 - 12:51 pm

I think Donna should win for her answer!
I am really digging the rain today so maybe I’d just amp it up. England or Ireland or a national park around Seattle, in a beautiful wood with a raincoat, my JCrew Fleur de Lis rainboots, a sassy umbrella romping around…and a warm fireplace and cider waiting for me out of the rain.

James - August 30, 2010 - 1:26 pm

If I could be anywhere in the world today…never been one for an absolute answer to these types of things so I have a top 5 in no particular order…lol
- Disney World with my wife and two boys.
- LSU Football game with my wife and two boys.
- LSU Baseball game with my wife and two boys.
- Coaching my oldest son in a baseball game with wife and youngest son in the stands cheering, or booing if necessary…lol
- Golf at Pebble Beach with my two boys…wife at the resort spa because she’s terrible at golf…lol
Put these on a wheel and spin, I’d take any one of them.

Debbie Bowen - August 30, 2010 - 3:09 pm

I would be in Texas with my new grandson!! :) :)

Teresa Williams - August 30, 2010 - 7:32 pm

Of the places I’ve visited, I’d love to be on the beaches in Hawaii relaxing and taking in the beautiful scenery .
Of the places not visited but on my bucket list to see, I’d want to be in Alaska viewing the mountains and wildlife.
God certainly created some absolutely gorgeous places in this world.

Misty Smith - August 31, 2010 - 6:42 am

I would be in Monclova, Mexico, with my Mexican Family! That place is my second home, and my heart aches when I can’t be there! Of course, now that Aaron is an “I love Mexico” convert, I would bring him with me! Viva Mexico!

Greg - August 31, 2010 - 7:02 am

Roma – there is no better city in the world!

Katherine Seaborn - August 31, 2010 - 7:29 am

Am I too late?

I am “from” Baton Rouge, but right now I’m in Johannesburg, South Africa!

If I could be anywhere, though, I would be in Greenville, South Carolina. My baby sister just started college at Furman University there, and I would love to see her room and hang out with her.

Becca Barnette - August 31, 2010 - 9:34 am

I would love to be at the beach right now!!!!!!!! :-)

mindy - August 31, 2010 - 2:39 pm

I live in Shreveport (not so fun), and if I could be anywhere else, I would be in North Korea just so I could (try to) experience the craziness for myself. It’s so secretive, and I want in on that secret!

Angie Davis - March 10, 2011 - 11:18 pm

If I could be anywhere in the world, it would be exactly where I am now…In my bed, in my home with my baby girls on each shoulder.:)
